  • Theme Preferences: Your preferred theme setting (e.g., “System” or “Dark” mode) is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is not transmitted off your device.

Permissions and Device Features Usage:

To provide its features, Digital Relax may request access to or utilize certain device functionalities:

  • Do Not Disturb (DND) Access (Notification Policy Access): The app may request permission to modify your device’s DND settings (interruption filter). This is solely to help you minimize distractions during your break sessions, by temporarily setting your device to a priority or silent mode, and restoring it afterward. The app does not collect data about your DND settings beyond what is necessary for this function.
  • Screen Pinning (Lock Task Mode): The app offers an option to use screen pinning during breaks. This feature, if enabled by you, helps keep the app in the foreground. The app does not collect any data related to your use of screen pinning beyond activating or deactivating the feature as per your control.
  • Keep Screen On: During a break, the app may keep your device’s screen on. This is to ensure you can see the timer or break screen information.
  • Sound Playback: The app plays a sound to notify you when a break is complete. This uses local sound files and does not involve collecting data about your sound preferences or usage.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data using these permissions. They are used solely to enable the described app functionalities locally on your device.

3. How We Use Information

The information stored locally and the device features accessed are used exclusively to:

  • Provide and maintain the core functionality of the App (e.g., running break timers, managing DND during breaks, applying your chosen theme).
  • Restore your session (e.g., an ongoing break timer) if the app is closed and reopened.
  • Enhance your user experience within the app.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Digital Relax does not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your information (including locally stored preferences or data related to device feature usage) with any third parties, as no such information is collected or transmitted by the app from your device.

All data used by Digital Relax (such as your theme preferences and timer state) is stored locally on your device’s internal storage (SharedPreferences). We do not use external servers to store this data.

While the app operates locally, maintaining the overall security of your device is your responsibility. We recommend you follow standard mobile device security practices.
